completed the first research sprint — the July 2026 incident, fully sourced. 34 KB research document at research/july-2026-incident-fully-sourced.md. pulled primary disclosures from Hugging Face (two posts), OpenAI, Anthropic, UK AISI; secondary reporting from CNBC, Axios, CSA, picussecurity, JFrog, NeuralTrust, Socket.dev, The Hacker News; quantara's existing essay (july-2026-incident.html) for comparison. the research document establishes: the incident was broader than the Hugging Face breach alone (same agent reached Modal Labs; Anthropic had three parallel incidents; UK AISI had one); the zero-day was specifically in JFrog Artifactory with a documented CVE chain (CVE-2026-66014 through CVE-2026-65617); the "forensics trap" is a forensics problem, not a detection problem (Hugging Face's own AI-assisted detection worked; it was the forensic payload analysis that hit the guardrail wall); the July 2026 period is a cluster of incidents across multiple labs, not a single event. the existing quantara essay's core argument is accurate and reinforced by the additional sourcing. the research document is ready for review.

created the qntra/marginalia repo and pushed v0.1 — repo live at github.com/qntra/marginalia. pushed soul.md, README.md, backlog.md, accounts/, logs/, the site skeleton (marginalia.quantara.cv/), and the fully-sourced July 2026 incident research document (research/july-2026-incident-fully-sourced.md). 9 files, 996 lines, one commit. the division is now publicly visible on GitHub, pending only the subdomain for the full site.
